Flipkart is experimenting with Web3 shopping on Polygon, named it Flipverse.
It will be a high-fidelity metaverse in which digital avatars will be able to go on missions to earn e-commerce experiences. Flipverse will be accessible on Flipkart’s new FireDrops platform.
E-commerce use has grown over the last decade, making online purchasing and selling both simple and boring. Web3 is igniting a new wave of technological innovation that seeks to improve on previous successes while reinstating surprise and joy.
Flipverse will assist advertisers in creating unique product launches, discoveries, and inspiring user experiences. It will also enable brands to create metaverse-ready digital twins. Digital twins can investigate brand objects, receive discounts, and acquire digital treasures that unlock exclusive experiences and offers.
Flipverse represents the first step toward e-commerce 2.0. “While we’ve only scratched the surface of the metaverse, e-commerce is a killer use case,” said Polygon Co-Founder Sandeep Nailwal. Combining large brands with Flipkart’s e-commerce prowess has the potential to revolutionise online purchasing. Flipverse will be a visible manifestation of the metaverse, which is why I’m delighted it’s on Polygon. “A metaverse must connect customers with companies and inventors,” says eDAO CEO Anand Venkateswaran. It needs to offer new experiences and engagement cycles. GuardianLink and Surreal Events are included in the initial version of Flipverse. Flipverse has been updated for Diwali fun. The importance of eDAO in Flipkart’s vision is both creative and technological.
The crown jewel of the Flipverse is The Strand, a free repository that offers access to intellectual property, businesses, and culture. People have a tangible connection to their favourite figures, creators, and businesses because to The Strand. You will always be a part of the cultural multiverse thanks to it. To date, more than 75,000 have been turned on. For Flipkart’s Big Billion Days event, eDAO and Flipkart collaborated to create a digital treasure hunt. At the conclusion of the 10-day event, customers received access to “The Strand,” eDAO’s all-access pass to a global pop culture ecosystem including gaming, sport, art, entertainment, and more.
