Also, we will go through The Science behind SERPs and Ranking in Google I meant Rank Science

Before going in, I would like to define some essential Key terms in this article.

What is SERPS?

Search engine results pages (SERP) are web pages that are used by users when looking for something online using a search engine, such as Google. Each time whenever users enter their queries or words in search engine query box known as as keywords, which the search engine submits to the SERP.

What is Page RANK or Google RANK?

PageRank is an algorithm used mostly by Google Search to rank web pages in search engine results.

PageRank was named after Larry Page, one of Google’s developers. PageRank is a way to measure the value of website pages.

Now let’s talk about Google Rank Science and understand how google ranking system works?

The science behind SERPs and Ranking in Google

You should know about searching result types. There are two search result type Google shows.

These are:

PPC and Organic Results

First of all, it is useful to distinguish between organic results and PPC (Pay-Per-Click) results.

PPC results are paid positions that are purchased by businesses on a bidding platform provided by Google, known as Google Ads.

They appear at the top and bottom of the page and have a small “ad” badge at the top left of the list.

Organic results are those that Google determined to be the most relevant and valuable answer to the user’s query.

They make up the bulk of the search results, and let’s take a look at how Google measures that to choose the results of the first article.

Understand Crawling and Indexing: Actual Science behind Ranking

Crawling

The first step is to find out what pages there are on the web. There is no single directory for all web pages, and Google will actively search for new websites and link them to its list of known pages…

Some pages are known because they have already been viewed by Google before.

Google sends out bots (also known as spiders). They follow hyperlinks to navigate via the web and’ crawl’ (read) every page we come across. The information to be accessed by these spiders consists of page titles, headings, text content, images, load speed, structured data, and more.

When Google finds the URL of the page, updates it, or crawls the page to find out what’s on it. Google makes the page and analyzes both text and non – text content as well as the overall visual layout to determine where it should appear in search results.

Indexing

After a website has been discovered, Google is trying to understand what this page is all about. This procedure is termed an indexing process. In this process, Google analyzes and watch closely to the contents of each page, images, and video files on the page, and tries to understand the page.

This information is stored in the Google Index, a massive database stored on a large number of computers.

It’s necessarily a substantial super-library full of billions of pages worth of information that needs to be organized so that findings can be found as quickly as possible.

Serving Final Results (and ranking science)

When a user types a question, Google is trying to find the most relevant response from its database based on several factors.

At this point, Google always looks and try to identify the highest quality and relevant information and other factors, which will provide the best possible user experience and the most appropriate response by considering things such as the location of the user, the language, and the device (desktop or phone).

For example, searching for “mobile shops near me” will show a different response to a user in Paris than to a user in the USA.

Google does not accept payment to higher page rankings, so ranking is done programmatically.

This is the actual Rank science of Google page rank. Suppose you start working according to Google Algorithm and also this rank science. There are sure full chances you can get the first-page rank on most of your keywords.

Be Aware Of Google Ranking Algorithm

Millions of web pages are available for any search request, and Google will give priority to these places in terms of relevance and interest, unique to each particular application.

This system is called ranking a Google Ranking, And Google has a whole array of algorithms focused on working out which web pages will list under which search terms are used.

Such algorithms take into consideration a multitude of factors–the search word used, the quality and functionality of the site, and the authority of the website.

In addition to search rankings, Google also has algorithms in place for YouTube video marketing and organic rankings as well. You can read more on this here.

Consider Formats and Convenience Behind Ranking AS well

Google’s search results have come a long way over the last decade or so. SERPs no longer consists solely of 10 blue links with three paid ads at the top of the page.

So Google has developed new features in the SERPs to make it easier and faster than ever to find the information you’re looking for

At this point, Google’s synonym search means that it can match users to articles that might target similar keywords or keywords, even if they use slightly different phrases.

Google search results formats are divided into five different categories outside the traditional blue link list.:

  • The Knowledge Graph
  • Directions and Traffic
  • Direct Results
  • Featured Snippets
  • Rich Lists

Know these five results formats to recognize Google searches.
